Dr. Michael A. Gillen
Dr. Gillen grew up in the Palm Beach Gardens/North Palm Beach area. He attended The Benjamin School, which led to his introduction to PGA Animal Clinic. He began working for Dr. Giurato during his junior year of high school, and continued to work during breaks while in undergrad at Auburn University in Alabama. Dr. Gillen earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Sciences from Auburn University in 2008. He then attended St. Matthew’s University for veterinary school on Grand Cayman Island, where he completed his first three years. For his fourth and clinical year, he attended Purdue University in Indiana. After graduating in 2012, he began working for Dr. Giurato as an associate veterinarian at PGA Animal Clinic. In April 2014, Dr. Gillen purchased the practice. Dr. Gillen has a Chocolate Lab, Remington, and a Golden Retriever, Mahi, as well as three rabbits and various reptiles.
Dr. Joseph E. Giurato
Dr. Giurato graduated from The University of Missouri’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. He began PGA Animal Clinic in 1978, and moved to the current building in 1984. Dr. Giurato has spent nearly 40 years providing care to animals in the Palm Beach Gardens area. He enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time on his airboat in his free time. Dr. Giurato has an English Bulldog, Marge, and a hound mix named Nike.
Ann Torres, CVT – Technician
Ann was born and raised in Norway before moving to the Virgin Islands where she entered the world of veterinary medicine. She has been working as a veterinary technician for over 20 years and has years of experience working with board certified surgeons and various branches of internal medicine specialists. Ann has most recently worked several years in emergency medicine. Ann has two beautiful daughters who keeps her busy around the clock along with numerous pets at home. Ann began working at PGA Animal Clinic in 2014.
